Complex Care involves the caring of children and young adults requiring various types of clinical intervention. Bespoke care packages are allocated after an assessment has been completed, the child has met the criteria, and funding has been agreed.
The aim of the service is to support children and young adults with long term complex health needs at home by providing care to optimise the highest quality of life and independence. The service also aims to treat children and young people in the community for as long as possible to avoid hospital admissions. The different types of complex care services we provide include PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy); Stoma Care; Tracheostomy Care; Brain Injury, Spinal Bifida and many more
